I’m so bored.

I need things to do. Work is becoming extremely repetitive and predictable. Not neccessarily stressful because… hey, it’s work. I don’t take it personally. It’s just boring, nonchalant, and not challenging enough. I suppose it’s time to invest some time in searching for a new job.

Then again, I’m too lazy and far too much of a procrastinator to do that either. Hmn. Dilemma.

Off to bed I go.

Why I’m not going to work today.

Because the posted schedule says I’m off. That’s why.

I only noticed while being in the cash office checking for another employee’s schedule that my name was printed in for a ten to seven shift. Sorry.

Whoever screwed up that deal will have to live with it. Fortunately, Mondays are slow. And I’m sleeping in.

I want a Mac.

So as I’m browsing the news articles on NYTimes, I come across one introducing the new “Metal” line by Apple. Honestly, I’ve wanted a Macbook Pro for a few years now, but more so now than ever. Maybe I should get a second job.

Apple’s website really doesn’t even begin to scratch this itch of mine at all. In fact, it probably makes it worse now that they’ve got these pretty tutorials to watch. They really are like samples; tempting you to buy it when you know you can’t afford it.

Egh. Advertising at it’s best.

Wait, what?

Alright, so today wasn’t so bad. Uneventful, but relaxing.

Woke up, took mom to work, showered, napped, went to work for four hours, came home, watched some tv, picked mom up from work, watched more tv… and that’s about it. Yeah. Oh, revived a couple of songs via iTunes that I haven’t listened to in a while.

I think a lot of people try to avoid watching/reading the news; however, I suppose it’s our obligation to stay current with the happenings in our world no matter how uncomfortably sad or grotesque it is. In any case, I saw a report about these parents from seven different states dropping off kids at a hospital in Omaha, Nebraska.

The general idea of Nebraska’s “Safe Haven” act is to provide a safety net for infants and young children whose parents can’t take care of them and whom would otherwise be in some sort of danger. Yet thirty-four kids were dropped off there; only one was an infant, and about fourteen (can’t remember the exact number) were over the age of ten.

It just makes you wonder what kind of parents they are and what influenced them to make that kind of decision. Drugs, finances, debt, abuse… egh. Could be all of those things really. Hmn.

The Customer is Not Always Right pt. II

So I mentioned previously something about professional cry-baby’s. Luckily, they don’t get paid to do that. Although if they could, some people out there would be unimaginably rich.

Onto the main topic of this here post: store policy & state law vs. the customer.

We’ve implemented many a new rule recently, but there are tons of them that have never changed. For instance, returning an item without a receipt. Depending on the price and what the item is, you cannot return it for “store credit”. If you have many small items that amount to about twenty to forty-five dollars, that’s a bit more reasonable. However, if your item does not register in our inventory while you have “lost” the receipt, good-bye. We cannot put it into the system. Why? We don’t know if it was even purchased from our store franchise let a lone when you bought it. It’s called proof of purchase for a reason~

Just keep track of your damn receipts, people. It really isn’t that hard.
